HISTORY & FOUNDERS BIOGRAPHY

Tomcat Mechanical Incorporated was founded in April, 1992 by Thomas (Tom) Sujishi. After graduating from high school in 1981, Tom attended Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Phoenix, Arizona. For over 20 years, UTI has been a leading HVAC trade learning institution. Tom graduated with honors in April, 1982 and began his career as a service technician in the field.

Tom spent his first five years as a service mechanic.  In 1987 he accepted a management position in the Service Department of a start-up HVAC company where he spent the next 4 years. While fulfilling the demands of a full-time job, Tom began studying for his contractor's license exam at night and on weekends in pursuit of his ultimate dream...to open his own company.

In March of 1992, Tom passed the California Contractor's license exam. Armed with his license, ten years of experience and dogged determination, Tom achieved his entrepreneurial goal with the birth of Tomcat Mechanical, Inc.
